Subtle Patterns is a very nice collection of 80 design patterns for free use. It is a nice place to browse some nice background patterns and then download individually or altogether.

Very nice 3D carousel

The Slicebox carousel is really very lovely when viewed in chrome or safari, having lovely 3d effects and importantly working like a normal carousel when in other browsers.
